![]() We have been discussing Remembrance Day and WHY the poppy is so important. We have learned about the famous poem In Flanders Field by Major John McCrae and that the poppy is the symbol of Remembrance Day because it was found beside the battlefield of WW1 and today people wear a poppy to show a sign of respect for the fallen soldiers and veterans of all the wars. On Wednesday, November 11th at 11:00 AM we should all stop what we are doing and have a moment of silence for 2 minutes to remember all of the soldiers who fought for us. Comments are closed.
